Yesterday evening the Herons were shy and withdrawn, way to far away, so imagine my surprise to see this beauty this afternoon, on the weir at the end of the lake.  Went mad with the camera, and am really pleased with the outcomes, couldn't choose so popped a variety up .  Same guy (or gal), stunning 20 minutes, real entertainment.
